Terms of Service

The agreement, in plain English.

These terms govern your use of the Kinsu Health Android app and the website at kinsu.health. By creating an account or joining our waitlist, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, that's our failure — email us and we'll explain.

1. Who you're dealing with

Kinsu AI Labs is an Indian technology company ("Kinsu", "we", "us"). We operate the Kinsu Health Android application and the website at kinsu.health. "You" means the person using the app or the website.

2. What Kinsu is — and isn't

Kinsu is a personal health vault. It helps you and your family store records, track medications and vitals, and set reminders. Kinsu also includes an on-device AI engine (Sparrow) that can surface summaries and insights from your records.

Kinsu is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for a qualified clinician. Summaries and insights are informational, not clinical advice. Always consult a registered medical practitioner for diagnosis, treatment, and medication decisions. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or 108.

5. Your data

Your health data is yours. Kinsu is offline-first and on-device by default. The details of what we collect, where it lives, and how you control it are in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Fees

Kinsu's core features are free to use. If we introduce optional paid features in the future, we'll tell you clearly before you pay anything, and these terms will be updated accordingly. We will never charge you without your explicit consent.

7. Intellectual property

The Kinsu app, the Kinsu name, the logo, the Sparrow engine, and the website are owned by Kinsu AI Labs. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use them for their intended purpose. You retain all ownership of the health data and content you add to your vault.

8. Third-party services

If you enable optional integrations (for example, ABDM / ABHA, or cloud sync via our hosting provider), those services have their own terms. We list our processors at kinsu.health/processors.

9. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep Kinsu working well, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, add, or remove features. If a change materially reduces your rights or the core functionality, we will tell you in-app at least 14 days in advance.

10. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete my account. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, that is used to harm others, or that we are required to terminate by law. Where possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond.

11. Disclaimers

Kinsu is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, we disclaim all implied warranties — including fitness for a particular medical purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. Nothing in Kinsu is medical advice. Do not rely on it for diagnosis or treatment decisions.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Kinsu AI Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) ₹10,000.

Nothing in this clause limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law — for example, liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or a statutory right you have as a consumer.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Kinsu AI Labs against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of another party's rights — including uploading data about someone without lawful authority.

14. Grievance redressal

If you have a complaint, our Grievance Officer will address it within 30 days as required by Indian law.

Response SLA: 7 working days for acknowledgement; 30 days for resolution.

For data protection concerns specifically, see §6 and §10 of the Privacy Policy. Unresolved grievances may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

16. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we will notify you in-app and by email (if we have one for you) at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
